  the only thing i miss (from m.youtube.com) is the ability to filter searches (more options) and upload videos. so yeah, an official youtube app would be great nevertheless.

  I believe the browser delivers good enough functionality. Haven't tried to upload videos yet though.

  There's a new YouTube app with Metro UI, PrimeTube. It looks brilliant. Meanwhile, Youtube Pro works great.

  I think its more of Google opening up their APIs. Though I'd love to see Metrotube come back :( that could probably serve as the #1 example of a real Metro inspired Youtube app.
